I may only be one of a couple water haulers on here, but I know there are a few other folks from the Barnett Shale plus maybe we have some lurkers that I can draw out.
I'd like to find out where some more saltwater disposals are around here, every time I think we have enough options, all of them get backed up on the same night and we can't get our water hauled.
Right now the main disposals we use are:
Texas Transco, across the street from Salty's in Cresson
TD West, a Total disposal off of 30 and Linkcrest on the west side of Fort Worth
We also use:
I-20 SWD off of 20 and Markum Ranch Rd
Salty's in Springtown
Two different Shale disposals, one on 199 in Jacksboro and one around Ranch House Rd and 20 near Aledo
Horseshoe off 377 south of Cresson
Trinity disposal just outside of Milsap on 113
Plus we've got two private disposals of our own, one a little south of Perrin and one at the yard in Jacksboro. What I'd like to do is find some other disposals near our wells so we'll have a couple more options, plus I really need to find a disposal kind of close to Crowley, we run some wells there and some others on 1187 between there and Whiskey Flats, and I'm hoping to find a disposal I don't have to drive forty minutes to get to. Anyone have any suggestions or other disposals to list?

All salt water disposal wells in the state of Texas are closely regulated by the Texas Railroad Commission. It might take a trip to Austin to get the info, but they will have a map of every one of them in their mapping department. Used to be on the 5th floor of the RRC building just north of the Capitol building, but that was in the last century....tehehehehe.
What would be more useful is going to them and finding out the location of all the disposal wells that are in the application/approval stage and will soon be open.

Yeah, that's why I was trying to see what info I could round up around here, these disposals tend to be kept fairly secret, I presume to keep the complaining by other folks to a minimum. Talking to other water haulers is one of the best ways to find 'em, plus they can tell you the secret handshake to get you in

The info the Texas Railroad Commission has posted on its site about disposals is interesting in its own right, but without more specific info regarding their locations it is hard to track them down and find out if they're private or commercial, or even if their exact location would end up helping me out.
Thanks for the info though!

Waterhauler, RRC Districts break down as follows:
#5_____Johnson, Tarrant, and Hill
#7b____Erath, Hood, Palo Pinto, Parker, Stephens (most are not typical Barnett, but close to you)
#9_____Cooke, Denton, Jack, Montague, Wise, and Young
